REPORT FROM CES ON THE 2ND HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT FORUM 2024

The forum, held under the theme “How to Teach, Promote, and Entrench Teamwork Among Health Professionals to Guarantee Better Healthcare Delivery and Sustainable Development,” targeted all health professionals and the general public.

The event occurred on Monday, 7th October 2024, at the British Council Auditorium, Accra, and was chaired by Prof. Agyeman Badu Akosa, former Director General of the Ghana Health Service. Hosted and managed on the CES learning platform, the forum featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, covering key topics such as:

  • Effective methods for teaching teamwork in health institutions
  • The role of leadership in fostering teamwork across healthcare systems
  • Practical steps for embedding teamwork culture in daily healthcare operations
  • Strategies for healthcare professionals to collaborate and improve patient outcomes

Participants actively engaged in Q&A sessions and shared valuable insights from their respective fields. Below are some key metrics from the event:

  • Total Number of Registered Participants: 864
  • Participants Registered to Attend Virtually:
  • Participants Registered to Attend In-Person: 128
  • Number of Live Participants: 702 individuals joined the live session through the CES platform and a private YouTube link.
  • Maximum Concurrent Live Participants: 404 individuals attended simultaneously during the live session.
